Training programme for educators in Nigeria, 2006-2007

Workshop on Values-based Education for Educators - Lagos, March 2007 (PDF)

The Living Values Association of Nigeria has been actively implementing LVE since 2001, when the first official training of educators, organized by UNESCO, Abuja, was conducted in Lagos for 32 people including school principals, guidance counselors, senior lecturers, psychologists and NUT representatives. In March 2007, SALV was invited to facilitate a three-day workshop on values-based education for educators in Ipaja, Lagos. Coordinated by Ipaja Community Link (ICL), generously sponsored by the UK based Development Impact for Nigeria (DIFN), the event brought together 54 educators eager to acquire the skills, knowledge and tools to create values-based learning environments in which children can develop their full potential and lead a purposeful life.
